Resumen

En este caso de estudio presentamos el Proceso de Diseño del signo o marca de Identidad Visual para la International Association for Vegetation Science (IAVS). Este organismo reúne a botánicos y otros investigadores y estudiosos de la vegetación de todo el mundo.En este documento se explican los valores gráficos y perceptivos de la marca de la entidad IAVS.También se argumenta la eficacia del signo, así como los factores formales y semánticos que hacen quesea legible, visible, identificado y reconocido por la comunidad de botánicos del mundo. Se define elvalor significativo de la esfera en movimiento en analogía con la investigación continua, la elección de latipografía o las connotaciones asociadas que se transmiten al receptor. Por último, se explica la estructuraconstructiva del signo icónico basada en la sucesión de Fibonacci, secuencia de números que aparece enabundantes configuraciones biológicas y en numerosas plantas de nuestro planeta.

Abstract

In this case study we present the Visual Identity Sign Design Process for the International Association for Vegetation Science (IAVS). This organization brings together botanists and other researchers andscholars of vegetation from around the world.The graphic and perceptive values of the brand of the IAVS entity are explained. The effectiveness of thesign is also argued, as well as the formal and semantic factors that make it legible, visible, identified andrecognized by the community of botanists of the world. The significant value of the sphere in motion isdefined in analogy with the continuous research, the choice of typography or the associated connotationsthat are transmitted to the receiver. Finally, we explain the constructive structure of the iconic sign basedon the sequence of Fibonacci numbers that appears in abundant biological configurations and innumerous plants on our planet.
